Hydroxystannate (ZHS) Description:
Zinc Hydroxystannate (ZHS) is a white powder, non toxic flame
retardant with low heat release rates, dual phase action,
combining flame retardancy and smoke suppression, has synergy
with inorganic fillers and unlimited pigment compatibility. |

Main
Applications: ZHS was developed initially for use on halogen
containing polymer formulation, especially flexible PVC for wires and
cables. The results obtained were so impressive that its application in
halogen-free formulation has also been developed. The excellent
flame-retardant and smoke-suppression properties of ZHS have been
demonstrated for the following materials: PVC (rigid and flexible),
polyester resins, alkyd resin-based paints, polychloroprene (Neoprene),
chlorosulphonated polyethylene (Hypalon), polyamides (Nylon 6 and Nylon
66), epoxy resins and ethylene-vinyl acetate co-polymer. |
